The GD-K7D2 is RKI’s workhorse sample draw assembly for use with a wide variety of electrochemical sensors for toxic gas detection. It is designed for simple servicing in that the sensor and pump can be easily replaced in less than one minute each. The GD-K7D2 is normally supplied with a 115 VAC pump, which requires local AC power, and the sensor signal output is 4-20 mA (24 VDC, 2 wire loop). A 24 VDC pump is also available, in which the head uses a 3 wire connection to a controller or PLC. The compact design of the unit requires minimum mounting space and the front removal cover allows for installation and ease of service in tight spaces. Easy to install, operate, and maintain, the GD-K7D2 is RKI’s most popular sample draw head for toxic gases.

The sensors for the GD-K8A are aged and tested over a one to three month period, typically resulting in a three to five year life span, providing a lower cost of ownership for your gas detection system. The sensors are robust electrochemical type that feature higher sensitivity and selectivity. Fast sensor response time and excellent stability make these sensors the most reliable and longest-life electrochemical sensors available today.

The 35-3000RK (A) series is a compact sample draw detector assembly with a built-in pump that accepts a 24VDC input. This unit features a NEMA 4X enclosure making it dust, water and corrosion resistant. It also features a flowmeter with adjustable flow and a low flow alarm, which warns of any obstructions or restrictions in the flow system. Combustibles, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide versions are available with or without a 4-20 mA transmitter. The 35-3000RK (A) is also available with both LEL and oxygen sensors in one unit.

The RKI S series gas sensor/transmitters are highly reliable and cost effective basic 4-20 mA transmitters for the detection of common gas hazards. The S series transmitters are available for LEL (catalytic), LEL (IR) CH4, LEL (IR) HC, O2, H2S, CO, or CO2 (IR). The electronics are encased inside a potted package to avoid damage from mechanical abuse or corrosion, and this assembly is installed inside an explosion-proof enclosure. All sensors are explosion-proof with flame arrestors and approved for use in hazardous atmospheres. The S series transmitters can be used either indoors or outdoors. The flame arrestors utilize a patented coating which make them water repellent, and splash guards are also available for use in very wet environments. The transmitter operates from 24 VDC (11VDC to 30 VDC), and provides a 4-20mA signal which can be connected to a wide variety of controllers.

The RKI M2™ is a state-of-the-art transmitter that can operate as an independent, stand-alone system or as part of a system connected with an analog or digital signal to virtually any controller, PLC, or DCS. The M2 series detects LEL combustibles, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, or carbon monoxide. It utilizes a magnetic wand technique for performing non-intrusive calibration. The M2 provides an automatic zero drift correction feature, which results in more stable readings and reduces the need for adjustments due to sensor aging. The M2 housing does not need to be opened for zeroing or calibration, making it unnecessary to declassify the area for routine maintenance. Internal push-buttons can also be used if the housing is opened. I The M2 represents the latest leading edge technology in sensor / transmitters today.

The Model PS 2 is a multipurpose gas monitor utilizing a MOS (metal oxide sensor) for long lasting and low maintenance detection at the LEL or PPM levels of many gases or vapors. The PS 2 has two alarm levels for increasing gas or vapor levels, at the PPM level for detection of many solvent vapors, or for LEL level detection of flammable vapors. Inquire at the factory for your specific requirement. Each alarm level activates a 12 amp relay inside the unit, and terminals are provided for wiring the relay to activate an external alarming device or some other device such as a ventilation fan.

The RKI direct connect series gas sensors are highly reliable and very cost effective for the detection of common gas hazards. The direct connect series are available for LEL, H2 Specific LEL, Oxygen, H2S, and CO for a variety of RKI's controllers. All sensors are explosion-proof with flame arrestors, and approved (optional non-explosion proof version available for oxygen for use in hazardous atmospheres). The direct connect sensors can be used in two different ways. The sensors can be mounted directly to the controllers as a complete stand alone system, or they can be mounted to explosion proof junction boxes for remote detection.
